I am Simmaco Di Lillo and I am from Rome (Italy). As of September 2023 I am a PhD candidate under the supervision of Prof. Domenico Marinucci at the Department of Mathematics of University of Rome Tor Vergata. I work on random fields, limit theorems, and their interplay with machine learning. I am also co-founder of Neuture.ai.

I hold an MSc in Applied Mathematics (110 cum laude, Sapienza; thesis on Stein’s method and change-point detection) and a BSc in Mathematics (110 cum laude, University of Pisa; thesis on SIR model on graph). I was a visiting PhD student at the Flatiron Institute (Simons Foundation, New York). I routinely use Python (NumPy, PyTorch, SymPy), C++, and cloud environments (e.g. AWS EC2); beyond ML, I am interested in random geometry, functional inequalities, stochastic analysis on manifolds, and graph theory.
